As much as I love the feeling of finishing up a big crochet project, there's certainly something to be said for the excitement that comes with starting one, too.
I love picking out the perfect colors (an experience that would be perfect if it weren't for the grumpy craft store employee who always acts like I'm asking her to take a bullet for me when I want to know if there's, for example, more of a certain color in the back room--the nerve of me!), and trying out a new pattern, watching it slowly come together . . .
This little project has been a long time coming, and I'm glad that I finally decided to make some time for it, after months of thinking, "I should get around to that . . . ".
(Make sure to swing by Whatever Dee-Dee Wants today to see my contribution to her Give Thanks series. We don't have a lot of traditions yet in our new-ish family, but this is one that I sure hope sticks!)
